Notice of Public Hearing - The Planning Commission has completed a re-write of the Mendon Zoning Regulations. On June 11, 2008, the Selectboard adopted the updated regulations as presented by the Planning Commission as Interim Zoning. The Selectboard encourages voters to participate in upcoming public hearings to provide feedback regarding these regulations before they are presented to the voters for permanent adoption. Paving Starts July 21, 2008 -The town of Mendon will be paving Park Lane, Park Lane Extension, Medway Road, Cream Hill and Terra Lane this summer. The total cost of paving these roads is $125,500. We have hired Fuller Sand and Gravel to pave these roads and expect to start construction the week of July 21st. It will take the crews a few days to complete each road. Medway Road will be reclaimed as well as resurfaced. All roads will remain open during construction. We request that you drive carefully around road crews to insure their safety. (Posted 07/10/2008)

Mendon Receives Grant for Pond Road - The Town of Mendon successfully received a State of Vermont Agency of Transportation Structures Grant to replace and upgrade a culvert on Pond Road. The expected project cost is $64,350. The Grant amount is $47,739. The town will move forward with final planning of this project. The construction timeline has not been determined. Mendon Ski Passes - The town of Mendon has reached an agreement with Powdr Corp. which will allow Mendon school children free ski passes for the next two years. Following the two year period, the Town of Mendon will , along with Killington, Plymouth, and Bridgewater, negotiate a reduced price ski pass for area children. The reduced passes are currently either $40 or $100 depending on the child's age. Parents of Mendon school children should receive a letter explaining this within the next couple weeks.
