Mendon does not have its own post office. Most addresses in Mendon are delivered through the Rutland Post Office (05701). A few addresses are delivered through the Killington Post Office (05751) The Rutland City Post Office is located at 173 West St. Rutland, VT 05701-9990 and the Killington Post Office is located at 1995 Rte 4 Killington, VT 05751. There is also a post office located at 86 Woodstock Avenue Rutland, VT inside the Circle K Gas Station.

The Rutland County Solid Waste District provides waste disposal services to its 17 member communities. These communities include Brandon, Castleton, Clarendon, Danby, Hubbardton, Ira, Killington, Mendon, Mount Tabor, Mount Holly, Pittsford, Poultney, Proctor, Rutland City, Wallingford, Wells & West Rutland.
